📋 Short version: VertoPDF provides free and paid file conversion tools. Use them lawfully, don't abuse the service, and don't upload files you don't have the right to convert. Paid plans are billed via Stripe and can be cancelled any time.
By accessing or using VertoPDF ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and VertoPDF ("we", "us", or "our").
VertoPDF provides browser-based and cloud-assisted file conversion tools including, but not limited to:
The Service is provided "as is" and features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice for material changes to paid features.
You may use many VertoPDF tools without an account (subject to daily free limits). To access paid features or higher usage limits, you must create an account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice.
The VertoPDF name, logo, website design, and software are owned by VertoPDF and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Your files: You retain full ownership of any files you process through VertoPDF. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content. By using cloud-based conversion tools, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process your files solely for the purpose of providing the conversion service.
VertoPDF offers several paid subscription plans and a one-time Lifetime plan:
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason within 7 days of payment, contact us for a full refund — no questions asked.
After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion and generally not provided for partial billing periods. Lifetime plan purchases are eligible for refund within 7 days of purchase only.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

You use the Service at your own risk. We strongly recommend keeping backups of any important files before processing them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VertoPDF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which VertoPDF operates.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website or by sending an email to registered users. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
